Byucksan, Decides to Invest in Extending Glass Wool Production Line

    - Extension of production line for Yeoju Plant Glass Wool No.2 in Iksan Plant last year
    - Confirmed its leading position by securing annual production capacity of 80,000 tons of Glass Wool

Integrated Building Materials Company Byucksan(CEO Sungshik Kim) recently decided to expand its Glass Wool production line, and is expected to further solidify its leading position in the nonorganic insulation system market.

Byucksan recently decided to invest in Yeoju Plant to expand its production line for Glass Wool No.2, following Iksan Plant's expansion of its production facilities for Glass Wool No.2 last year, and it plans to expand production of nonorganic insulation system products again. Through this, Byucksan will be able to produce 60,000 tons of Iksan Plant No.1 and 2, as well as 20,000 tons of products from Yeoju Plant, which will have a production capacity of Glass Wool up to 80,000 tons per year.

Particularly, Yeoju Plant No.2, which will be expanded this time, will produce special-purpose products for construction, industry, and shipbuilding and Byucksan's highly efficient eco-friendly product line is expected to expand further. In addition, after the investment, Byucksan is also considering extending Iksan Plant's Glass Wool production to line No.3 and is expected to further strengthen its market dominance in the nonorganic insulation system in the future.

To that, Byucksan CEO Sungshik Kim said, “Byucksan is continuing research and investment without being complacent in its current position in the already firmly established nonorganic insulation system market. We will continue to recognize changes in society as a whole and prepare more actively for tomorrow in the domestic insulation market.”

Meanwhile, Byucksan's Glass Wool is a nonorganic insulation system that uses recycled glass, limestone, and silica as its main raw materials, and it is a product that can reduce casualties to a minimum in the event of a fire with non-combustion and fire-fighting functions as well as water resistance. It also contains a large amount of air inside the product, which maintains excellent heating and insulation effects, saving heating and cooling costs. (End)
